Are your wrists painful all the time?
Perhaps it is keeping you from training harder.
Or maybe you just keep pushing through because you are passionate about calisthenics.
I have walked around with some serious wrist pain from training.
At the time, I just accepted it and kept going.
Until I really couldn’t anymore. And let’s be honest, who stands on one hand for fun without getting painful wrists at some point?
Fast forward to today and thanks to a little tender love and care, my wrists don’t feel like those of an old man any more.
I wish I had known this as a beginner.
But thankfully you are never too old to learn.
Here is how I treated my wrist pain:
Home-Made Anti-Wrist Pain Treatment Gel
This simple treatment will save you a lifetime of pain.
The ingredients are not the cheapest to buy, but they will last you for at least 2-3 months with daily use.
- Traumeel-S gel – Anti-inflammatory
- Wintergreen oil – Increases blood flow and reduces pain
- Helicrasium Italicum oil – Anti-inflammatory
- Ginger oil (optional) – Anti-inflammatory
- Turmeric oil (optional) – Anti-inflammatory
- Peppermint oil (optional) – Increases blood flow and reduces pain
The great thing about this treatment?
You combine anti-inflammatory components, with a substance that increases blood flow and reduces pain.
Now that’s what I call: ‘Hitting 3 birds with one stone.’
You can optionally experiment with the other oils depending on how well the treatment works for you.
Make sure you get 100% pure, undiluted essential oils that are not synthetic.
There is a lot of shit out there.
How to use the treatment:
- Apply the Traumeel-S gel, add 2-3 drops of each oil.
- Wrap your wrist in something warm, like a bandage or plastic foil.
- Use this protocol 1-3 times a day, depending on your level of pain without a bandage and use it with bandage over the night.
- Keep your wrist as warm as possible throughout the day to keep the blood flow going.
Remember that this is just one tool in your toolbox against wrist pain, the other tools are a good warming up and cooling down.
Start Curing Your Wrist Pain Today
Life is too short to walk around with painful wrists. You will be an old man soon enough.
Life is too short to not stand on your hands.
Life is too short to not train your ass off.
So, treat yourself with some tender love and care.
Don’t let your pains become a reason to stop your training.
Why? If you wake up feeling like an old man every now and then, keep in mind:
You don’t stop training because you get older, you get older because you stop training.
Beast mode ON!

Either way, leave a quick comment below right now.
PS. The basic setup of this treatment comes from Ido Portal.
Very good post because joint pains are a big obstacle in training. They are also an indicator that people should listen to their bodies needs and change some aspects of their training.
Thanks for the great information. Keep it coming!
Regards.
Hey Roberto,
Thank you for your comment!

Nice post and thanks for sharing!
I was just thinking about the importance of listening and taking care of our bodies before is too late.
Does this recipe works in elbows and knees as well? Because I could use a little help there too.
Hey Alex,
Definitely, it can be used throughout the body.
Read the comment below for a better explanation of how to address elbow pain.

What’s your point about using wrist wraps during the training, Rich?
Are these good or bad?
I heard using wrist wraps can.make our wrists weak, is that true??
Hey Ahmad,
Great question!
Would not recommend it during training, unless it’s the only thing that allows you to keep training with an injury.

Is it possible and/or viable to perform calisthenics exercises with a reoccurring ganglion cyst in the wrist? I have one and it severly hampers my range of motion (can’t get into proper push-up position unless I am on my knuckles) any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Hey David,
Definitely, I have had cysts on my wrist and this treatment has hugely helped me.
Additionally, take a close look at your warm-up. Double the amount of time you use to wake up the wrists.
